SPA Water & Sauna World
The one-of-a-kind, publicly accessible SPA water & sauna world of the TAUERN SPA covers an area of roughly 20,000 m². This encompasses 11 pools, the Kidstein, 10 saunas and steam baths as well as spacious quiet zones, both indoors and out. Here, too, the dialogue with nature is a pervasive architectural element. That said, you can “go with the flow” in the exercise pool with countercurrent, in the relaxation pool with grotto, or in the high-pool with a water cascade, as you mull over which of the 3000 m peaks you would like to conquer the following day. Hohe Tauern National Park and the Kitzsteinhorn are, after all, right outside the front door. The wide range of opportunities also includes an outdoor area with salt water relaxation pool, an activity pool along with a 25 m sports pool.
Stove, salt-stone or alpine herbs: extensive sauna offer
Thanks to the new Bergkristall Sauna, the existing sauna offer has been expanded and become even more diverse. A magnificent quartz crystal serves as the focal point of this spacious sauna, a sauna which treats guests to one-of-a-kind views of surrounding nature. A wide selection of special infusions adds even greater variety to your sweating experience and guarantees unique fragrance experiences.
Other highlights amongst the 14 saunas and steam baths include the Alpine Herb Sauna, the organic Alpine Meadow Sauna, the Salt-Stone Harmonium as well as the aroma steam bath. In the saunas located in the outdoor area, salt, vitamin and beauty infusions are creatively staged, after which guests are able to cool off in the cold-water plunge pool, then unwind in cozy quiet zones either indoors or out. A separate swimsuit sauna area features a Finnish sauna, an organic sauna and a steam bath for guests who prefer to wear swimsuits.
In its 17 treatment rooms, Alpin Vital SPA & Cosmetics invites you to embark on expeditions into the realm of Alpine beauty. For the various massages, baths, peels, wraps and beauty treatments, the preferred ingredients are natural Alpine products such as arnica, mountain salt or herbal oils, along with product lines featuring natural cosmetics such as Reviderm, Dr. Spiller Bio Cosmetic and Alpienne. If you would like to be pampered together with your partner, you have various couples’ treatments to choose from in the Private SPA. For example, the “Magic of the Alps” unfolds in the form of an Alpine back massage, a magical milk-and-honey bath in a big whirlpool, followed by snuggly relaxation afterwards in the waterbed – accompanied by candlelight and seasonal fruits.
Children love water
Three different slides, indoor and outdoor pools with water attractions including a lazy river, bubbles percolating from the pool bottom, tropical rain showers and the Wolf’s Cave guarantee nonstop fun for youngsters in the Kidstein children’s spa. Not to mention when the kids get to zoom down the 127 m long Schlinge-Schlange tube slide. The very youngest visitors will have great opportunities to playfully explore the watery wetness in the baby pools. And whenever they’ve had enough of the water, they can go do some painting, crafting, sing karaoke, snuggle cozily in the Bear Cave, or work off even more of their youthful energy out on the playground or in the “motion room” with its three-dimensional climbing frame. Spacious family islands in the sand allow you to experience colorful moments of pure happiness.
